Church Holidays (New Calendar)
- Feodora's Day (in memory of the Venerable Theodora of Alexandria). On this day, the faithful honor the memory of the saint who lived in the 4th century. In folk tradition, this day is considered a "day of atonement" and purification. On this day, people tried to avoid quarrels and make peace.
- Beheading of the Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist John (according to the old calendar). On this day, there were strict prohibitions against eating round foods (apples, potatoes) and using a knife, in memory of the martyrdom of John the Baptist.
