Ukrainian Observances
- Day of the Customs Broker. This professional holiday is celebrated in honor of the approval of the first regulatory document that governed the activities of customs brokers in Ukraine in 1992.
International Observances
- International Taekwondo Day. The holiday was established by the World Taekwondo Federation in 2006. The date was not chosen by chance; on September 4, 1994, at a session of the International Olympic Committee in Paris, taekwondo was officially recognized as an Olympic sport.
- World Sexual Health Day. The purpose of this day, established by the International Association for Sexual Health in 2010, is to draw attention to matters of sexual education, disease prevention, and the fight against sexual violence.
Religious Observances
- Feast Day of the Icon of the Mother of God, the "Burning Bush" (according to the new calendar). This icon, according to tradition, protects homes from fires, and its image symbolizes the Mother of God, who was not consumed by the Divine fire.
- Commemoration of the Martyr Agathonicus of Nicomedia. According to the new church calendar, on this day the Orthodox Church honors the memory of Agathonicus and his companions who suffered for the Christian faith in the 4th century.
